Ms. Amelia Schow works as the teacher, director, producer, set designer, costume designer, choreographer, and the wearer of the many other hats of the Theatre Program at Pleasant Grove Junior High. As well as being the resident Yogi. She loves teaching but it is the students that inspire her creativity that bring her back year after year. Ms. Schow received her B.A. from BYU, her Theatre Educator license from SLCC, and her yoga teacher certification from Black Prana Yoga in Florida.
Ms. Schow has been a part of the theatre world since elementary school. In junior high she discovered her love of costume designing and has been designing costumes ever since. While attending BYU, she participated as an actor and costume/set designer for the Young Company Shakespeare performance group. And now, she has her designer finger in all aspects of a production. Yoga has been a favorite past time for Ms. Schow since she was a teenager. A few short years ago, her dream to be a yoga teacher became a reality. Now she has the opportunity to share this love of center one's self with those around her. Needless to say, Ms. Schow has a great passion for education and hopes to inspire her students to find their passions through theatre and yoga.
